​Essential for operational personnel in the resources and infrastructure industries, this comprehensive unit provides the practical skills and regulatory knowledge needed to manage height risk with confidence.
Students are exposed to real-world scenarios, learning to interpret technical safety standards and implement effective hazard controls. Through intensive hands-on training across two practical scenarios, participants master the complete lifecycle of fall protection equipment - from pre-inspection and fitting to secure anchoring and system set up.

Entry Requirements
An individual undertaking this course will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry

Supply photo ID

Have the physical capability to perform the practical demonstrations, such as climbing a ladder, donning a harness, manual handling

Wear appropriate attire and enclosed footwear
Online pre-course work: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic device with access to the internet to complete the online pre-course work. Please note: All online pre-course work is to be completed prior to attending the face-to-face assessment.

Theory assessment - a written assessment consisting of multiple choice and short answer questions. The student must successfully complete all assessment questions

Course Duration
The course duration is 3 hours

If a student requires further training, repeat assessment or any extra help, the Trainer may request the student stay behind to ensure that they have the best chance at completing the course but may also be rescheduled for another date.
