Know What To Do In Those First Moments
This course applies to individuals who may be required to have first attack firefighting skills in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. It includes preparing for incidents such as small fires that can be controlled using a fire extinguisher, a fire blanket or a fire hose reel.
Through practical, hands-on training, you'll build the confidence to correctly assess a small fire and respond safely and effectively — without hesitation, and without unnecessary risk.
Whether it's for workplace compliance or everyday preparedness, this course gives you the practical skills to respond with confidence.

Entry Requirements
An individual undertaking this course will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry

Supply photo ID

Have the physical capability to perform the practical demonstrations

Wear appropriate attire and enclosed footwear
Online pre-course work: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic device with access to the internet to complete the online pre-course work. Please note: All online pre-course work is to be completed prior to attending the face-to-face assessment.

Course Duration
The course duration is 90 minutes

If a student requires further training, repeat assessment or any extra help, the Trainer may request the student stay behind to ensure that they have the best chance at completing the course but may also be rescheduled for another date.
